AISBackup only physically backs up new and changed files since the last backup. It backs up virtually all open files and additionally opened exclusive files from local FAT drives.

Restore options include: Complete Windows systems, individual files and folders, right click and 'open' from backup or 'Save as' from backup. Comprehensive restore destination and duplicate file options enable disaster recovery or cloning Windows to new drives and partitions.

AISBackup is a program designed to provide backups of your Windows PC and Server Operating System and data to the following media:

CD, DVD and drives that emulate CD, e.g. Iomega REV.
USB & FireWire connected Hard Drives.
Removable Media such as Iomega Zip, Jaz and DVD RAM.
Local Hard Drives.
Disaster recovery backup.
Networked Drives.
Internet or intranet FTP Server.
E-mail optionally using AES 128-bit encryption.

Tape drives are not supported.

AISBackup is job based, each job contains a list of files and folders to be backed up and the media to which the backup is made.

Once a backup job has been created and loaded AISBackup examines the disk to determine which files need to be backed up. Once this process is complete, simply click Run Backup to start the Backup process. Disaster recovery backup.

Only files that have changed since the last backup are added, this considerably reduces the time needed to maintain a complete system backup (after the initial backup that is).

Each time a backup is run a new session is created. When files are added to the backup database any previous versions remain on the backup. Each version of a backed up file is held in it’s own session.

Individual sessions may be selected during a Restore process, this enables you to restore all files that existed on a particular date.

The contents of each backup remain online to ease the process of restoring files. Simply select the file, or files that you want to restore, select the destination of the files and then click restore. If the backup containing the file(s) is offline you will be prompted to load the appropriate media (CD, DVD, Removable drive or Network Drive) during the restore process.

AISBackup is capable of backing up and restoring the following:

The Windows Registry.
Disaster recovery backup.
Windows Server 2000 & 2003 Active Directory.
NTFS File and Folder Security Settings.
Encrypted files retaining their encrypted state.
Offline backup of Microsoft Exchange Server.
Restore Windows to new drives or partitions.
Clone Windows to create dual-boot systems either via a backup or the Copy Disk to Disk menu option.

Backups may be set-up to run via the Microsoft Task scheduler directly from the AISBackup user interface.

Windows 2000 & XP Users must re-install Windows with AISBackup and any software that is required to access the backup media. The restore can then be made over the top of the running Windows system. Disaster recovery backup.

Backups of the Windows 95, 98 and Windows ME Operating can be made that can be restored using the Windows Recovery Diskette and a newly formatted hard drive. The restores can be made in a fraction of the time it takes to reload Windows, Hardware Drivers, Patches etc. These Emergency backups are made to a hard drive partition, from where you may copy them to a CD that is in a format suitable for reading from DOS, this is easily achieved by using the integrated CD writer. This backup type is called an Emergency System Backup.

You may backup up to internet or intranet FTP servers. AISBackup optionally offers an enhanced version of the standard zip file security where your password is always converted to a password of 64 to the power of 40 characters. Passwords can be generated unique to your copies of AISBackup so that other owners of AISBackup cannot read your backups.
