Full Backup Capabilities

PowerBackup is a full featured backup solution that's capable of fulfilling all your backup needs. It offers three backup methods with data compression support to save space.

Full Backup is recommended the first time a group of files or folders are archived. Full backup offers a simple and complete method of ensuring all files are protected. However the process can be time consuming as all files are archived each time; even unchanged and old files are backed up.

Incremental Backup is a fast method of backing up but a slower method of restoring data. During incremental backups changed and modified files are compared with the previously created archive. Only those files that have been changed and modified will then be archived. File restoration is slow because every incremental archive is used to restore new and modified files from each backup session.

Differential Backup is a slower method of backing up but faster at restoring data. During differential backups the archive created at the first backup session is compared against the current files. Everything that is new or modified compared to the original is backed up in this new session. File restoration is fast because only the last archive is used to restore data.
