How it works

SpamWasher Anti Spam Software works by filtering your e-mail as it arrives to determine what is potential spam. At this time SpamWasher only supports POP3 based e-mail. This means it will NOT currently work on AOL or  MSN/Hotmail as these systems use proprietary mail formats.

• SpamWasher Anti Spam Software imports your existing e-mail accounts, or you may manually configure your e-mail accounts within SpamWasher
• SpamWasher sets your e-mail program to check SpamWasher for new e-mail. You may also manually configure e-mail accounts in your e-mail program to check SpamWasher.
• SpamWasher checks for new e-mail from your ISP, then filters it and delivers the non-spam e-mail to your existing e-mail program. The potential spam e-mail is held in SpamWasher for you to review. SpamWasher Anti Spam Software will NOT delete e-mail without your permission.
• SpamWasher MUST be running in order for you to receive e-mail once you have configured your e-mail program to use SpamWasher Anti Spam Software.
